5 Days Budget Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari – Full Itinerary / Day by Day.
Day 01: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Breakfast; thereafter you will meet your driver-guide for the 5 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking Safari. You will drive to Kibale Forest national park via the Fort portal arriving in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge.
Journey time: 6 – 7 hours.
Accommodation: Rweteera Safari Camp | Meal Plan: Lunch en-route & Dinner at the Lodge(LD).
Day 02: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park
Breakfast: thereafter with between 01-02 liters of bottled drinking water, a raincoat, a pair of long-sleeved shirts + trousers, good walking shoes, repellent, a camera with extra charged batteries and extra memory chips all packed up in a waterproof day-pack, your driver-guide will transfer you to the Kibale Forest Chimp trekking briefing point. After the briefing, you will embark on the trek through the Kibale forest in search of chimpanzees. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed up to 01-hour – viewing and photographing them.
In the afternoon, your guide will transfer you to Bigodi Swamp for yet another community-guided nature walk that offers travelers a chance to spot other primates that wonder about this swamp.

Day 03: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Breakfast; thereafter check out of the lodge with all your belongings and embark on your journey to Bwindi Forest National Park – Packed Lunch en route, and arrive on time for check-in at your lodge.
Accommodation: Broadbill Forest Camp | Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch en route & Dinner (BLD).
Day 04: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.
Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience. Return to the lodge and relax.
Accommodation: Broadbill Forest Camp. | Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 05: Transfer back to Entebbe or Kigali.
Breakfast; and today marks the end of your 5 Days Budget Uganda Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking Safari. With all your bags your guide Will then transfer you to Entebbe or nearby Kigali International airport for your onward return flight. (this must have been pre-planned).
Journey time(s):
- Bwindi to Kigali = 4 – 5 hours.
- Bwindi to Entebbe = 9 – 10 hours.

You could opt to go for the full-day Gorilla Habituation Experience which allows you 4-hours with wild mountain gorillas in the Rushaga area of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. If you choose Gorilla habituation, then there will be an extra charge for the permits and accommodation – Gorilla habituation permits cost US$1500 each.
