DETAILED DAY BY DAY ITINERARY


Day 01: Arrival-Overnight in Kampala
Meet and Greet at Entebbe airport by our staff who will transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Entebbe.

Transfer time: Entebbe Airport to Karibu Guesthouse = 10 minutes

Accommodation: Karibu Guest House. Meal Plan: Breakfast Only (B)


Day 02: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda
After breakfast you will travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park  via Uganda Equator for short stopover for pictures, lunch will be en-route in Mbarara before arrival. You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, and you may opt for evening game drive or rest by the Lodge side.

Drive Time: 6 – 7 hours (including an en-route lunch stop in Mbarara).

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (BLD).


Day 03: Queen Elizabeth-Game Drive & Boat Ride
6.00 am: Take an early game drive in the park. The animals will still be hunting for prey. This park is home to the famous African wildlife such as lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and hippos, hyenas, hogs antelopes etc. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and rest.
2:30 pm: Take the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. Believed to be the biggest Hippo concentration in Africa, this area is also great for bird viewing as well as viewing a lot of other wildlife as they come to take a drink of water. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography. Over 550 species have been spotted and recorded here that include Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers are.

Day 04: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
After breakfast, with a packed lunch box from Mweya Lodge (included in tour price) transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha – southern Queen Elizabeth popular for tree climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and thereafter proceed with your drive to Bwindi arriving your lodge in the late afternoon in time for check-in, dinner & overnight.

Accommodation: Engagi Lodge | Ruhija Gorilla Lodge | Nkuringo Mountain Gorilla Lodge | Rushaga Gorilla Camp.  Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (BLD).

Special Note: The lodges are in different regions of Bwindi – Your accommodation for this day will depend on the Trekking Region for which we are able to acquire a gorilla permit for at the time of your booking.


Day 05: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi Forest.

Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.

Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience. Return to the lodge and relax.

Day 06: Transfer to Kigali, Rwanda.

Breakfast; thereafter check out of the lodge with all your belongings and embark on the journey to the Uganda – Rwanda border post crossing into Rwanda and continue to Kigali arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, your guide will then take you to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial site in Kigali where you will learn more about the 1994 tragic event in Rwanda that left many dead and others will permanent scares. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. This Hotel is booked on B&B – you cater for all your meals and or other EXTRAS.

Day 07: Fly from Kigali Airport to Kilimanjaro Airport.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight departing Kigali at 1010hrs to Kilimanjaro International Airport – Tanzania. Arrive Kilimanjaro (JRO) at 1250hrs, meet and assist at the Airport and transfer to hotel in Arusha for overnight booked on bed and breakfast basis, B&B.

Accommodation: Ilboru Safari Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast (B).


Day 08: Arusha – Mount Kilimanjaro Machame Route Gate – Machame Camp (3000 m).
– Breakfast in your hotel, at 0800hrs, depart from Arusha to Machame park entrance. From here you trek through the lush forest to Machame Camp (10,000 ft / 3000 m) Camp. You will reach Machame Camp in the late afternoon while mist and low clouds dominate the camp. Supper will be served in the mess tent. Already personal tent has been erected – let alone sleeping. The temperature at this camp drops below freezing point with possible frost in the morning.


Day 09: Machame Camp (3000 m) to Shira Camp (3840 m). 
Breakfast is served early in the mess tent and, weather permits you to view the Western Breach of the Kilimanjaro. After lunch and limited rest, you will continue with the trail up to Shira Camp at about 3 840m. The night at this exposed camp is really cold with temperature dropping to zero minus freezing point and full frost in the morning. By now the altitude will have affected most of climbers and sleeping in the tent becomes uncomfortable.


Day 10: Shira Camp (3840 m) to Barranco Camp (3950 m). 
Now the trail turns east into a semi desert and rocky section where you reach an altitude of about 4600m at Lava Tower. Here also you have a chance to collect fresh water that running off streams supplied by melting snow and ice. It is here you will get a spectacular picture of the Kilimanjaro sunset.

Day 11: Barranco Camp (3950 m) to Karanga Valley Camp (4200 m).
The morning starts with a scramble up the almost vertical Barranco Wall to an altitude of about 4 200m. After lunch, the climbers are advised to take a rest at this point, Dinner / Overnight at camp.


Day 12: Karanga Valley (4200 m) to Barafu Camp (4600 m). 
From here there is no water, so the crew will stock them and make sure there is water at Barafu Camp. It is recommended that the climbers must familiarize with the camp before dark because of this camp is situated on an exposed and dangerous ridge.

Day 13: Barafu Camp (4600 m) to Uhuru Peak (5895 m) to Mweka Camp (3100 m). 
At around midnight you will be awakened to start summit assault north-western direction up the south-east valley towards Stella Point on the Crater rim. It is very cold at this point and the footpath is unclear and steep in places. But careful, slowly you could encounter snow and ice from below Stella Point all the way to Uhuru Peak (5895 m). At this point expect to be rewarded a beautiful African sunrise ever. The spend time on the summit depends on weather conditions. The power of mountain is phenomena. You lose consciousness of your own detached reality and melt into the earth to become part of the universe. Therefore, such experience real enriches your life.


Day 14: Mweka Camp (3100 m) to Mweka Village (1450 m) – Arusha
A healthy breakfast will be served before you descend through the rainforest to the park’s gate. On arriving at the gate you must enter your particulars again into park’s register. For climbers who reached Stella point is issued with green certificates and the one who reached Uhuru peak with gold certificates. Later you will be transferred to Arusha for overnight at Ilboru Safari Lodge booked On B&B.


Day 15: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater
– Breakfast at your hotel, at 0630hrs, with your packed lunch, drive 60 km depart for Ngorongoro Conservation and descend into the Crater floor for a day game drives. Ngorongoro Crater is one the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most spectacular sights in the whole of Africa. All the BIG FIVE Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more… Birds includes flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more other bird families.

Your picnic lunch will be served on the picnic site at Ngoitokok swamp, a Hippo pool. At 1300hrs after lunch proceeds with afternoon game viewing in the Crater, and drive at 1530hrs ascend the Crater for dinner and overnight at lodge booked full board basis, FB


Day 16: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park 
In the morning at 0830hrs launch a journey with game drives and picnic lunch enroute to the Great Serengeti National park. After picnic lunch in the park continue with afternoon game viewing in the park enroute to your camp. You will have dinner and overnight at lodge, FB

Serengeti is Africa’s largest national park provides abundant of wildlife made it considered as one of the world heritage site for its nature. The park is famous for its ecosystem that involves the great world event of annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeests and zebras include large number of carnivores. It is also home to Cheetah, lion, leopard, and buffalo, elephant, Wildebeest, Hartebeest, Topi, Eland, crocs Thomson and Grant Gazelle and many more… Birds: Kori bustard ostrich, secretary birds and many more including the migrant birds from Eurasia, dinner & overnight at the lodge, FB.


Day 17: Full day game drives in Serengeti Park: 
– You dedicate this day to Serengeti National park and take a morning and an afternoon game drive in Serengeti national Park to look for lion, leopard, Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest, Eland, Wild dog, Gazelles, Crocs and more. Lot of birds includes the Eurasia migrants. You will have dinner and overnight at Lodge.

The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, and it is recorded as the BEST number ONE wildlife area in the world where to see great number of animals. Within its 15,000 sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals- zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The park is the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June to August, possibly to witness then crossing at Mara River, when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds; Meals Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.


Day 18: Serengeti – ISEBANIA BORDER – Masai Mara GAME RESERVE Kenya.
Breakfast at your camp, at 0700hrs leave Serengeti and transfer to Isebania border for your extension safari to Masai Mara in Kenya. Your guide should have collected you picnic lunched.
After all immigration formalities are done at the border, continue to Masai Mara with game viewing en route to the lodge. Proceed with late afternoon game drive which starts immediately upon your arrival, this game drive offers you the 1st day 1 evening big 5 kill as well as Africa Sunset around 1830hrs, then our driver will drive you back to the lodge/camp where you will be served with dinner.


Day 19: Masai Mara Game Reserve Full Day
Masai Mara is situated in south-west Kenya and is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular Eco-Systems and possibly the world’s top safari big game viewing Eco-System. I am sure you have heard the wildebeest migration is nothing short of amazing. It is one of the things you have do add to your bucket list. This will be the full day explore the Masai Mara, breakfast will be served as early as 0730am, then our cook will pack for you fresh picnic lunch since the whole day will be exploring the Masai Mara famous 7th wonders of the World. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The Mara’s gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq km – an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight black Rhino. In the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north. After exploring the park return to the camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 20: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
You will have a wakeup call as early as 0600am, you will have hot African Coffee or Tea and then proceed for Pre – morning game drive as from 06:30hrs for the next 3 hours until 0930hrs, then our driver will drive you back to the camp where you will be served with full breakfast as you check out the camp to proceed to Lake Nakuru, if willing on this day you can as well visit the Masai Village for one hour and learn more of the Masai Culture, lunch will be in Narok town or ( Mai Mahiu) hot water after lunch proceed to Lake Nakuru and arriving early evening and if time allows you will have short game drive as you head to the Lake guest house or Budget hotel.


Day 21: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi Airport
The Bird Watchers’ Paradise the Lake is on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. Breakfast will be served at around 0730am thereafter proceeding for the game drive, you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizable number of the endangered White and Black rhinos as well as Rothschild giraffe. Waterbucks, predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen is a myriad different variety of bird life in and around the lake. Flamingoes are also plenty at the lake. Leave for Nairobi late afternoon arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon with a drop off to the hotel of your choice or back to the airport to catch up with your flight for the next destination
