13 Days Uganda Encompassed (All about Uganda)


Arrival in Uganda

This day’s plans are entirely in your hands. You are expected to arrange your flights to Uganda landing at Entebbe International Airport. We can assist in arranging for an airport pick-up and also recommend a good place to stay within your budget range.


Day 01: Transfer to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Today marks the actual start of your 16 Days Uganda Encompassed Safari. You’ll be met by the guide from Realm Africa Safaris™ for a 15-minute briefing before setting off from your hotel in Entebbe. After the briefing, you will embark on a drive heading North towards Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for check-in & lunch at the lodge.

In the late afternoon, you will be joined by a Rhino guide for a short briefing about Rhino tracking after which you’ll head out into the shrubs & bushes to search for the Rhinos on foot. When you find them you will enjoy plenty of time photographing, filming or simply staring at the gorgeous creators that are on the verge of extinction. 

Journey time(s):  Entebbe to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – 4 hours.

Day 02: Transfer to Budongo Forest for Chimpanzee tracking, Visit the top of the Falls & continue to your lodge.

You’ll start your day at 06:00 am (wake up & have breakfast) and be ready to leave for Budongo Forest at 06:45 am to drive to Budongo Forest arriving on time for your Chimpanzee tracking at 08:00 am. Tracking will take up most of the morning, and when you find the chimps, you will be allowed to spend up to an hour photographing, filming (non-commercial), or gazing at these amazing cousins of Man – remember they share up to 98.7% DNA with man.

Return to base camp, and meet up with your driver-guide who will drive you to the Top of Murchison Falls.  Return to your accommodation, for lunch, and thereafter we drive into Murchison Falls National Park proceeding to the Top of  Murchison FallsNothing amazing like this

Day 03: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon boat Safari to the Falls 

Breakfast; thereafter go for a morning game safari inside the heart of Murchison Falls National Park in search of lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, Kobs, oribis, and over 460 bird species roam this beautiful park. return to your Lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon,  you will go on a Murchison Falls boat safari to the Falls. This trip on the River Nile can be very rewarding with numerous sights of hippos, Buffaloes, elephants, and of course the  Nile crocodile.

Day 04: Visit the Delta for Shoebill Tracking, Afternoon boat Safari to the Falls 

Breakfast; thereafter go for a morning boat safari to the Delta Area of Murchison Falls National Park. This trip allows you to traverse a very secluded section of the park most popular for shoebill sightings and over 460 bird species roam this beautiful Park. Return to your Lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon (3:30 pm),  you will go on a safari in the park. Return to base on time for dinner & overnight.

Day 05: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Breakfast; thereafter embark on the drive through the Rift Valley to Kibale Forest National Park. You’ll stop at a local cuisine restaurant in Fort Portal for lunch before continuing to your hotel near Kibale Forest National Park. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

  • Primate Lodge (Upmarket).

Day 06: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

Breakfast; thereafter your driver-guide will transfer you to the Parks Information center/briefing point for a pre-chimp trekking Brief from a Uganda wildlife Authority Ranger guide. You then will join a group of other trekkers, in the company of rangers, who will lead you on chimpanzee Tracking and trekking experience Inside Kibale forest – “the world’s primate Capital”. Return to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon,  your guide will then transfer you to Bigodi for a guide Nature walk in the popular Bigodi Swamp home to up to 08 primates – a good addition to your chimp trekking in the Kibale forest.

Day 07: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Breakfast; thereafter transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park crossing the equator line. Drive to Mweya Peninsular in time for the Kazinga Channel boat safari – a slow-moving boat that allows you both viewing and photographic moments capturing both birds and animals.

Day 08: Transfer to Bwindi

Breakfast; then embark on a morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National park. Return to the lodge for lunch, thereafter transfer to Ishasha Sector (Southern Queen Elizabeth) arriving in time for check-in & dinner at the lodge.

Day 09: Morning safari in Ishasha, thereafter transfer to Bwindi

Breakfast; thereafter embark on a morning game drive through the Ishasha plains in search of wildlife with a chance of sighting the tree Climbing Lions that roam the plains of this park. Transfer to Buhoma arriving on time for lunch at your lodge.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi.

Breakfast; thereafter you will join other trekkers for a Gorilla trekking experience through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In the lead of an armed ranger and guide, you will trek through this impenetrable forest, and upon finding the gorillas you will be allowed up to 1-hour viewing and photography time. Gorilla trekking may at times last up to 5 hours requiring good physical health and or fitness is very important. Return to your lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 11: Guided walk from Buhoma to Nkuringo

Breakfast; thereafter your Nkuringo Community guide will be waiting to lead you through the Forest trails of Bwindi Forest on the IVY’S trailhead. You will be picked up on the other end and transferred to your lodge.

Day 13: Fly to Entebbe

Breakfast; thereafter with all your bags packed, we embark on a transfer journey to Kisoro Airstrip for your Scheduled local flight to Entebbe where your 13 Days Uganda Safari with Realm Africa Safaris™ ends. UNLESS you would like to Add on the 3 – 4 Days Jinja Extension.
