Day 01: Arrival into Uganda.

Marc your private guide from Realm Africa safaris will pick you up from your Flight arriving Entebbe. You’ll drive 15 – 20 minutes to get to you hotel.

Overnight:  Karibu Guesthouse. Meals Included: Breakfast.

Day 02: Go Shoebill tracking in Mabamba Swamp.

This morning Marc will drive you for about 15minutes to the landing site where you’ll meet your local boat captain for the trip to Mabamba Swamp – arguably one of the best places to glance at the weirdest bird – the shoebill stork. This will take up a great portion of the morning with you expected back at about 12:00 noon.

Return to your hotel for lunch. Afternoon at leisure with options of quite a few things to see and do this afternoon in Entebbe. (We can discuss the details if interested).

Overnight:  Karibu Guesthouse. Meals Included: Breakfast.

Day 03: Entebbe to Jinja

Transfer to Jinja with an en route stop at the Ewaffe Cultural Village.

While at the cultural Village, you will be taught a lot about the culture of the locals of the land, and later finish off with a traditional lunch.

Overnight: Nile Porch. Meals Included: BLD.

Day 04: Visit the source of the Nile (Boat trip)

This morning you’ll enjoy a relaxed breakfast overlooking the Nile. We will then drive to Jinja for lunch. At about 4pm, we will go to the Jinja sailing club where our boat trip to the source of the Nile starts. Enjoy a sundowner on the Nile.

Day 05: Jinja to Sipi Falls

After breakfast, you will checkout of your hotel room with all your belongings and then embark on the drive to Sipi Falls. You’ll arrive in time for a late lunch at your hotel.  Afternoon at leisure. Dinner & overnight at your hotel.

Day 06: Explore Sipi Falls & surroundings

Depending on how you feel, you Might consider and early morning hike or an afternoon hike to view the Sipi Falls. This walk takes you through the village surroundings and you’ll get to meet the locals. Afternoon at leisure, but remember we can still recommend some extra stuff to see and do around Sipi falls.

Day 07: Sipi Falls to Pian Upe

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to Pian Upe a remote and rarely visited but yet very pristine game reserve. You will arrive intime for check in, and lunch. In the later afternoon, you will go on an evening safari. Return to base for dinner & overnight.

Day 08: Safari in Pian Upe Game Reserve.

You will spend the day exploring the amazing Pian Upe game reserve on a morning and afternoon Safari. Stay another night at the Karamoja Overland Camp.

Day 09: Game drive, and Transfer to Kotido,

Venture out for another morning safari (optional) before returning to base for a full breakfast. Thereafter check out and drive to Moroto. You will stay one night at the Karamoja Art Centre.

Day 10: Experience the Karimojong Culture, and transfer to Kidepo Park

Today you will start your day as early as 06:00am inorder to be at the village at sunrise. You’ll spend about 3 hours visiting a Karimojong Village and get to learn, and experience their culture, music and dance. Return to your hotel for a full breakfast, before emabarking on the drive to Kidepo National Park.

Day 11: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park.

Today you will embark spend your morning on a morning safari around the Narus Valley, In the afternoon, you will visit the Kidepo River, and later return to your lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 12: Kidepo Valley National Park to Murchison falls National Park.

You will depart reasonably early so as to get to your lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 13: Explore Murchison Falls National Park.

This morning you will join your guide on a Safari through the savannah plains to the Nile Delta Point. Return to Lodge lunch. In the afternoon, you will drive a short distance to the jetty where your boat safari on the might River Nile starts. This trip will take you to the picturesque views of the Mighty Murchison falls – rumoured to be one of the world’s strongest waterfalls. Return to your hotel for dinner & overnight.

Day 14: Murchison Falls to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary

We leave at 7:00am after an early breakfast, and drive to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking. This activity lasts 2 – 3 hours. After tracking chimpanzees, we then drive to zziwa rhino Sanctuary for lunch and check-in at Zziwa Ranch lodge (located on the Sanctuary).

Later in the evening, we will be joined by a UWA guide who will take us on a guided on-foot Rhino tracking expedition after which we will return to your lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 15: Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This morning we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the countryside with an en route lunch stop in Fortportal. After Lunch, we will then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for check-in, dinner and overnight at Tabingi Safari Lodge.

Day 16: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This morning we take things a little easy with a late breakfast. Thereafter we will drive a short distance to the nearby fishing village where our boat safari on the Kazinga Channel will start at 09:00am. Return to the lodge for Lunch & siesta. In the afternoon, you will join Marc on a safari in the Kasenyi Plain. Return to lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 17: Morning Safari, afternoon Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge.

Today you again venture out into the wild with Marc your guide from Realm Africa Safaris on a morning game drive to thoroughly comb the savannah plains of any wildlife sightings. Return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Kyambura gorge for Chimpanzee Tracking. This location is prestine, and only has a few chimpanzees living within the gorge. Although the trek is rated to have a 50% chance of seeing chimpanzees, the walk through the gorge is exhilarating. Return to Tabingi safari Lodge for overnight.

Day 18:  Transfer to Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You’ll checkout with all your belongings, and embark on a drive to the Ishasha Sector of the greater Queen Elizabeth National park popular for tree-climbing lions. We will stay at Topi Lodge.

Day 19: Explore Ishasha on a Morning Safari.

You drive a short distance to the Southern Entry gate of the Ishasha sector. Here you’ll search for the tree climbing lions that like to lazy out in the thick Fig trees. Leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, elephants and many other animal, and bird species can be sighted on this safari. Return to the lodge, freshen up, and check out. You will then drive to Bwindi arriving in time for check-in at Lake Mulehe Safari Lodge.

Day 20: Golden Monkey trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National park.

This Morning you’ll drive for approximately 60 minutes to get to Mgahinga National Park for golden monkey trekking. This should last most of the morning. Thereafter we will return to your hotel for lunch. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 21: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi (Nkuringo Sector)

Today you will go into the forest for gorilla trekking. The briefing starts at 8:00am with a cultural dance from the locals and then you head into the forest. This will take most of the day, and a packed lunch will be provided. Return to the briefing point for graduation (you’ll each be awarded a certificate for gorilla trekking).

 Day 22: Lake Mburo National Park.

Breakfast, and thereafter you will check out with all your belongings and drive for about 6 – 7hours to get to Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive at your lodge for a late lunch. Afternoon at leisure. You’ll stay at Rwakobo Rock Lodge for 02 nights.

Day 24: Drive to Entebbe.

You will depart for Entebbe with an en route stop at the Equator for souvenir shopping and later proceed to Entebbe.

Overnight: Karibu Guesthouse. Meals included: Breakfast.

Day 25: Laid back day.

Today you may spend the entire day relaxing at the lodge or speak to the lodge staff about suggestions of things of do around Entebbe.

Day 26: Fly Back Home.                                                                                 

Today marks the End of your Holiday with Realm Africa Safaris. We will drive you to the airport for your flight.
