4 Days Shoebills and Gorillas in Uganda

Day 01: Shoebill tracking in Mabamba Swamp in Entebbe
You will be met by a representative of Realm Africa Safaris™ who will transfer you to Port Alice where you will meet up with your motorised canoe, and transfer to Mabamba Swamp on lake Victoria.
The boat transfer from Port Alice in Nakiwogo to Mabamba will typically last ±45 minutes before you meet up with your local mabamba guide who will then join us on the boat for the shoebill Tracking experience across the vast Mabamba Swamp. The guide will also point out other bird species while on the trip.
Upon finding, the shoebill stork, you will be allowed ample time to photograph this elusive bird. Thereafter you will head back to the Nakiwogo Landing site and transfer back to your Entebbe hotel.

Day 02: Kigali/ Entebbe to Bwindi Forest National Park
Breakfast; thereafter depart your Hotel at 7:00 am and embark on the drive to Bwindi Forest National Park. Lunch en route, arrive at your lodge in time for check-in dinner and overnight.

- ± 5 Hours from Kigali (RECOMMENDED)
- ± 10 Hours from Entebbe. You may opt to fly from Entebbe to Bwindi, and drive 1 hour to your hotel.

Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.
Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience. Return to the lodge and relax.
