Karibu Guesthouse

Karibu Guest House in Entebbe – Strategically located – Just 10 minutes from Entebbe Airport, Karibu Guesthouse Entebbe is a small boutique hotel located on Nsamizi hill overlooking Lake Victoria.

Karibu Guesthouse Entebbe was founded in May 2012 by Leslie (from Corsica) and Kevin (from New Zealand) and quickly established itself as a popular lodging choice amongst travellers with a reputation for service, style, good food and cleanliness.

Formerly the home of the then Ugandan president – Id Amin Dada. With a background in managing African Safari Lodges, Luxury European Hotels and operating Safaris in Uganda,  Leslie & Kevin have kept this building in its old colonial state – only keeping it clean and looked after like you would for a home.

Catering to a small number of guests at any one time, this little hotel offers a high level of personalised service, quality food and a comfortable sleep – Whether you are on a gorilla trekking Safari to Uganda or on a business trip.

The Pool at Karibu Guesthouse in Entebbe

Karibu Guesthouse has recently put up a small private stone pool for residents to cool off after the long Uganda safari. The pool has a drink counter and a waterfall bench allowing you to sip off Uganda’s most popular beer whilst unwinding to the sights and sounds that surround this little garden pool.

The Food – Healthy Home Grown fruits & Vegetables

In the Mediterranean, food is prepared, served and eaten with love and passion, a concept brought to Karibu by Leslie and Kevin. They often visit the markets to buy fresh vegetables, fish and meat as well as grow some of the more “hard-to-get” items in their own organic garden.

The dishes here incorporate readily available fresh ingredients, prepared with a Mediterranean influence, as well the inclusion of some traditional favourites – the menu changes with the seasons and the inspirations of Head Chef and Owner, Leslie.
