BRIEF ITINERARY:
- Day 01: Entebbe to Kibale Forest.
- Day 02: Chimpanzee trekking In Kibale + Afternoon – Bigodi Swamp Walk.
- Day 03: Transfer from Kibale Forest to Bwindi Forest.
- Day 04: Mountain Gorilla trekking In Bwindi Forest.
- Day 05: Fly to Entebbe – End of the Safari
5 DAYS GORILLAS AND CHIMPS TREK – Full Itinerary / Day by Day.
DAY 01: TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast; thereafter you will meet your driver-guide for the 5 Days Gorillas and Chimps Trek. You will drive to Kibale Forest national park via Fort portal arriving in time for Lunch at the Garden Restaurant. Thereafter you will continue to Chimpanzee guesthouse for check In.
In the afternoon (04:00 pm) you will be led on a locally guided community walk to the craters.
Drive time(s): 5 – 6 hours drive.
Overnight: Kibale
Accommodation: Ndali Lodge (Luxury). | Crater Lodge (Midrange). | Kibale Forest Camp (Budget)
Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner.
DAY 02: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN KIBALE FOREST
Breakfast: thereafter with a between 01-02 litres of bottled drinking water, a raincoat, a pair of long-sleeved shirt + trousers, good walking shoes, repellent, a camera with extra charged batteries and extra memory chips all packed up in a waterproof day-pack, your driver guide will transfer you to the Kibale Forest Chimp trekking briefing point. After the briefing, you will embark on the trek through Kibale forest in search of chimpanzees. Upon finding the chimpanzees, you will be allowed up to 01-hour – viewing and photographing them. Return to the Lodge – relax and unwind to the memories chimpanzee tracking In Kibale Forest national park – the world’s capital for primates.
In the afternoon, your guide will transfer you to Bigodi Swamp for yet another community guided nature walk that offers travelers a chance to spot other primates that wonder this swamp.

DAY 03: TRANSFER FROM KIBALE FOREST TO BWINDI FOREST
Breakfast; thereafter check out of the lodge with all your belongings and embark on your journey to Bwindi Forest National Park – Lunch en route, and arriving on time for check in at your lodge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch en route & Dinner (BLD).
DAY 04: GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI FOREST
Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.
Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience.
Return to the lodge and relax.

DAY 05: FLY TO ENTEBBE
Breakfast; and today marks the end of your 5 Days Gorillas and Chimps Trek. With all your bags your guide Will then transfer you to to the Airstrip for your scheduled local flight to Entebbe where you will connect with your international flight back home or onward travel.
Accommodation: Not included on this Day – but can be arranged at EXTRA cost – if needed.

Things to note if you opt to end your trip in Kigali.
# Ensure you apply for an East African Tourist Visa – USD100 – admits you Uganda, Rwanda & Kenya.
# Ensure your Departure flight is clearly marked to fly-out from Kigali International airport.
# Please make it a point to pre-inform us about your intentions to finish the tour in Kigali.

NDALI LODGE ( DAY 01 & 02)
Ndali Lodge is a rustic and intimate lodge perched on the rim of an extinct volcano which, since its demise, has filled with water over centuries to become the vast Lake Nyinambuga in the Bunyaruguru Crater Field in Uganda.
The lodge prides itself on its informal, homely atmosphere which is enhanced by the staff who come from local farms and villages and are professionally trained by the lodge.
There are many activities on offer at the lodge and Ndali provides local guides for walks around the thousand-acre farm and to the Mahoma Waterfall, with the opportunity of spotting a large variety of birds, butterflies, and primates along the way. There is also a two-person inflatable kayak available for excursions.
