The Upside /Advantage of Trekking Gorillas in June
The weather/climate in June is good. June is perhaps one of the driest months. The trails are relatively less challenging to trek on compared to the wet months.
The Downside / Disadvantage of Trekking Gorillas in June
- Gorilla Permit Scarcity.
Gorilla permits in June are very competitive to book – as most of them are already sold out at least 06 Months In advance.
- Gorilla Treks are often long.
Unlike in the wet months when fruits and foliage are abundant at the base of the forest, which attracts the gorillas to the lower base of the mountains – thus making the treks short. However, in the drier months, gorillas are on the move in search of food – this makes the treks a lot longer.
- Un-negotiable Hotel prices:
Hotels during the peak season months like June hike their prices to match the demand. Prices for hotels in June and other peak season months are often unnegotiable.
- The Crowds:
June is a peak season month characterized by mass travel. A lot Of travelers plan to visit Africa in the summer months of June – August.
