Gorilla Trekking In July – What to expect: July is one of the best months to go gorilla trekking as it lies within the dry season. Warm temperatures and minimal rainfall mean the climate is at its best and all activities are doable. Although peak season corresponds with higher safari prices, fairly easy trekking conditions make it a preferred time for gorilla trekking. The weather is good. July is perhaps one of the driest months. The trails are relatively less challenging to trek compared to the wet months. Gorilla Permit Scarcity. Gorilla permits in July are very competitive to book – as most of them are already sold out at least 06 Months In advance. Gorilla Treks are often long. Unlike in the wet months when there is an abundance of fruits and foliage at the base of the forest, which attracts the gorillas to the lower base of the mountains – thus making the treks short. However, in the drier months, gorillas are on the move in search of food – this makes the treks a lot longer. Un-negotiable Hotel prices: Hotels during the peak season months like June hike their prices to match the demand. Prices for hotels in July and other peak season months are often unnegotiable. The Crowds: July is a peak season month characterized by mass travel. A lot Of travelers plan to visit Africa in the summer months of June – August.
