Our 5 Days Gorillas twice In Uganda safari is an active adventure gorilla safari built specifically for the very active traveller who is into hiking and perhaps is a fitness freak.
On this trip, you get to trek & see mountain gorillas twice in two separate locations of the larger Bwindi impenetrable forest National park. You also get to connect from one region to another by foot – through the Bwindi Impenetrable forest – guided by a local and in the company of a Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger.

5 Days Gorillas twice In Uganda – Detailed Itinerary (Day by Day)
Day 01: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Forest NP.
We will pick you up at an agreed location or hotel at 08:00 am. Time permitting, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Museum before embarking on the drive to the Uganda – Rwanda border crossing at Cyanika – 3.5 hours from Kigali. Lunch in Kisoro town before continuing to Nkuringo region where you will check-in and spend the next 02-nights at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge.
Journey time: ±5-Hours from Kigali.
Accommodation: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla | Meals Included: Lunch en-route, & Dinner at the Lodge.
Day 02: Gorilla trekking in Nkuringo or Rushaga Region
**Today you will either trek gorillas in Nkuringo or Rushaga region – subject to availability of gorilla permits at the time of booking your Gorilla tour with Realm Africa Safaris™
Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.
Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience. Return to the lodge and relax.
Accommodation: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla | Meals Included: Breakfast, packed lunch for your trek & Dinner at the lodge (BLD).
Day 03: Walk to Buhoma from Nkuringo Region.
This morning you will enjoy the final breakfast serving from the chef at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, and thereafter with your belongings, you will check out of the lodge. You will then meet you walking Safari guide who will further brief and prepare you for the Nkuringo to Buhoma walking Safari. You will have two trailheads to choose from; either you take on the Ivy river trail – a 6½ hour Walk or you opt for the Kashasha Trail which lasts only 5 hours. You will get to the Buhoma region ontime for lunch and check-in at the Bwindi Lodge – your home for the next two (02) nights.

Day 04: Trek Gorillas Buhoma Region
**Today you will either trek gorillas in Buhoma Region or Ruhija Region – subject to availability of gorilla permits at the time of booking your Gorilla trip with Realm Africa Safaris™
Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.
Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience. Return to the lodge and relax.

Day 05: Fly to Entebbe, and connect back home
Breakfast; and today marks the end of your 5 Days Gorillas twice In Uganda safari that started in Kigali.
With all your bags your guide will then transfer you to Kihihi airstrip from which you will fly out into Entebbe. At Entebbe, you will connect with your pre-booked (not included in the price) international flight back home.
Journey time(s):
- Bwindi to Kihihi Airstrip ± 2 hours.
- Flight from Kihihi to Entebbe ± 1½ hours. ( Depends on Aircraft routing)

Important things to note about our 05 Days Gorillas Twice in Uganda safari from Kigali
- This tour starts in Kigali and ends in Entebbe.
- We recommend applying for an East African Tourist Visa – USD100 – Valid 90 Days – admits you to Uganda, Rwanda & Kenya.
- Bwindi is ±5 hours drive from Kigali as opposed to driving from Entebbe which takes 10 hours.
End of Service – 05 Days Gorillas Twice in Uganda
You’ll be driven in a custom-built 4×4 Toyota Safarilandcruiser fitted with large windows, air conditioning, and a cooler box (with snacks & drinks). Each person gets to enjoy a window seat with plenty of legroom for extra comfort all through the journey.
We don’t publish fixed tour rates as our safari prices differ based on the number of persons traveling, and the type of accommodation – budget, mid-range to luxury.
