UGANDA CULTURAL EXPERIENCES
ENTANDA CULTURAL EXPERIENCE – 60Km out of Kampala
Located 60Kms west of Kampala, the Entanda Cultural experience is our best recommendation for travellers seeking to fully immerse themselves in understanding the culture of the Ugandan people.
A typical day Cultural experience at Entanda would start as early as 8:00 with you transferring from Kampala or Entebbe arriving at 10:00 am. The group is then split; men go hunting (mock hunting, not the actual hunting – No animal is Killed – thanks to your Participation – your cash is Used to Compensate for the would-be actual animal kill.)

BATWA EXPERIENCE – Bwindi Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla Park
The Batwa are the pre-historics of the current Bwindi and Mgahinga Gorilla parks. These short thick-muscled people shared a habitat with mountain gorillas and were hunters of antelopes – NOT gorillas, and fruits gatherers. They were however expelled out of the Forests and turned into National Parks in a Bid to protect the habitat Of the mountain gorillas. The Batwa however settled by the edges of the forests of Bwindi & Mgahinga – a visit to either one of the Batwa Cultural Experience Site will give you an insight into their lives in the Forest.

The Ik people were displaced from their land to create the present-day Kidepo Valley National Park and consequently suffered extreme famine. Also, their weakness relative to other tribes meant they were regularly raided.
