Tanzania Travel Restrictions Due to COVID-19: The government of Tanzania is known to be the first East African Safari country to lift the ban on international flights arriving and departing from the country. In a bid to control the spread of the deadly Coronavirus, the government instructed that all hotels and other tourist facilities in the country must go through a COVID-19 certification process, and official documents must be placed at the entrances of all facilities.

The Tanzanian government has also directed all the country’s tourism entities to appoint and adequately train COVID-19 liaison officers to be the point of contact with its Health Ministry in the event of any emerging cases. Tanzania opened its airspace to international travel permitting any form of international travel including tourists on 01st/June/ 2020. However, to further manage the spread of COVID-19, the Government through the Tanzanian Ministry of Health have setup up a set of strict travel guideline to be adhered to by all travellers arriving into the country.
