However, the opening has come with strict SOPs that must be followed by all travellers Intending to enter or fly out of JKIA – Authorities say they have new measures in place to ensure passenger and staff safety. This is what to expect if flying in through or out of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

  1. The COVID-19 Port Health Services is Now Paperless! Please note you will be required to fill the Travelers Health Surveillance Form ONLINE or Download & install “Jitenge MoH Kenya” App and Signing up as Air Traveler or via bit.ly/covid19moh.
  2. Maintain 1.5-metres of distance from one another.
  3. Wear your face mask at all times.
  4. Have a COVID19 free certificate as per Ministry of Health guidelines.
  5. Wash your hands and Sanitize regularly.
  6. Cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbow.
  7. Use paper tissues and throw them away after you blow your nose.
  8. Avoid shaking hands.
  9. Make contactless payments.
  10. Follow our directions.

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is one of the most modern airports on the continent. There are self-check-in kiosks, you can use for check-in but you can also interact with staff at the check-in counter but there is a screen for your protection. we are urging people to check-in online, this important so that there is less contact. Once check-in is complete, it’s a short distance to the immigration area, once you are done with immigration, there is a second security check that awaits you.
