Leopard Filming In Entebbe

Leopard Filming in Entebbe

Leopard Filming in Entebbe can be conducted at the centrally located Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre – UWEC in Entebbe City.

The present-day Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre is an animal rehabilitation centre opened in 1952. The centre was mainly set up as a reception centre for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife including animals confiscated from illegal trade.

In the early 1960s, UWEC changed its role to a traditional zoo then called the “Entebbe Zoo” a name that still holds memories in the minds of many Ugandans and foreign visitors that visited it. At that time, a number of non-indigenous species, including bears and tigers, were kept as attractions. Leopard Filming in Entebbe

In May 1994, the UWEC Trust was founded to take over the zoo primarily for Conservation Education purposes. The Centre’s location on the edge of Africas largest freshwater Lake Victoria, its rich vegetation and its surprisingly wide range of bird species, butterflies and other indigenous animals make it an attractive venue for conservation education as well as a top spot for revellers seeking a pleasurable place to unwind on a weekend.

Currently, the centre is home to roundabout 300 animals including one (01) leopard which is available filming upon application for all relevant Filming permits and permissions which Realm Africa Safaris™ can assist you secure. Leopard Filming in Entebbe

All Crew members intending to indulge in Leopard Filming at UWEC have got to individually apply for a media Card or Press Accreditation as commonly referred to In Uganda. Press Accreditation in Uganda is issued by the Uganda Media Council

After each individual or crew member fills out FORM G. This form must be accompanied with copies of scanned passport (bios Page) and a recent passport-sized photo to be used in processing your Media card (Press accreditation).

It does take us approximately 02 – 03 working days from the time we receive all the above-mentioned documents to process your media card.

To accompany all the individually filled out FORM G’S for each crew member, the team leader has got to send us a detailed write-up or synopsis of the film you intend to shoot in Uganda.

After all the above is sent through, Realm Africa Safaris™ your reliable local film fixer in Uganda, will then proceed to submit these to the Uganda Media Council for approval. Upon approval, we will then contact and inform you of this achievement.

After securing your Media cards, we will then need to advise and also further assist you in securing all the other necessary permits and permissions all guided by your film Scriptwriter or the Synopsis
