Except for chartered Helicopter flights that may land much closer to where you are staying, all light aircraft flights to Bwindi Forest will either land at Kihihi or Kisoro airport the only two (02) available airports connecting Bwindi and Entebbe.

When is the best time to trek Gorillas in Bwindi Forest?

Generally speaking, the best time to go on a gorilla safari to Bwindi is in the dry season months of June – August Sept – October. The trails are less slippery thus making the trekking a lot more enjoyable than in the wet season months (March, April, May, and November) when the trails are muddy and very slippery. However, the wet season might be the perfect time for those keen on photographing or Filming mountain gorillas in Bwindi.
