What is the driving time from Entebbe to Buhoma Region?

The driving time from Entebbe to Buhoma Region is 9hrs 11minutes (without Stops) and takes you through a distance of 498km to get to Buhoma.  On this drive, you’ll follow the Entebbe – Kampala Road (we recommend taking the faster free of charge Entebbe – Kampala Express highway – there could be toll fees in the future) which joins Masaka road to Mbarara city, Ntungamo, and proceeds further on to Rukungiri – Kambuga – Kihihi – Butogota and finally gets you to Buhoma. While a great section of this drive is on a paved road up until you get to Rukungiri, the last section ( from Rukungiri – Kambuga – Kihihi – Butogota and finally gets you to Buhoma) is not paved and conditions of the road can worsen especially during the long rainy season months of March, April & November – causing the roads to become slippery and sometimes impassable. We recommend hiring a functioning 4×4 vehicle together with an experienced local driver guide to help navigate this route.
