Uganda Gorilla Permit Price Increased from $700 to $800: The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) – has announced its Plan to increase the Price of the Uganda Gorilla Permit from $700 to $800. This Price Increment will take effect on 1st/July/2024 and will affect anyone whose trekking dates fall on 01st/July/2024 up to treks in 2026.
While there is still hope this decision might be reversed, effective 01st/July/2024, all foreign non-resident Travelers will have to part with $800 to trek mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
The decision to increase Uganda Gorilla Permit fees from $700 to $800 in 2024 – 2026 is attributed to the rising costs associated with Mountain gorilla conservation.

The above increment in Uganda Gorilla Permit Fees for bookings after 1st/July/2024 to 30th/June/2026, not only applies to Foreign non-residents but also Foreign residents/ex-pats living or working in Uganda, and East African Community member States – EAC
