Effective July 1st, 2024 till June 2026, Mountain Gorilla Trekking Permits in Uganda will now Cost US$800 for Foreign Non-Residents, and US$700 for Foreign Residents or Uganda Shillings – UGX 300, 000 for Citizens of the Seven East African Community member States; Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, Congo, and Burundi.

The cost of Mountain gorilla Permits has been increased from US$700 to US$800 for Foreign Non-Residents, US$600 to US$700 for foreign Residents, and from UGX250,000 to UGX300,000 for East Africans from the Seven East African Community member states of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, South Sudan, and Tanzania. Africans from other countries outside the East African Community will equally enjoy a Discounted Gorilla permit Price of $500 to trek and spend 1 hour with Mountain gorillas in either Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.  For Persons looking to spend a lot more time with the Gorillas, the unique Gorilla Habituation Experience will allow you to spend a maximum of 4-hours in the presence of a wild gorilla group still undergoing the complex process of getting the individuals used to human visits.
