Detailed Itinerary (Day by Day)

Day 01: Drive or Fly to Bwindi Forest NP.

This Morning you will either fly out of Entebbe International Airport or drive to Kihihi Airport to connect to Bwindi. The flight from Entebbe takes only 1hr30mins to get to Kihihi airport, from where you will be picked up and transferred by road for another 60minutes to get to your Lodge.  If you opt to drive, the journey from Entebbe to Bwindi will last around about 9 -10 hours.  On arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Flying from Entebbe to Kihihi – ±1hour30mins.

Driving from Entebbe to Bwindi – ±10hours

Day 02: Mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Breakfast; thereafter confirm that you have all the basics; a lunch box (to be provided by the Lodge), raincoat, good hiking boots, waterproof pants + long-sleeved shirt, a pair of strong garden gloves, repellent, a waterproof daypack to carry all your valuables.

Your guide will thereafter transfer you to the briefing point and also help you out through the registration process. After the briefing by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger, you will embark on your long-awaited Gorilla trekking experience. Return to the lodge and relax.

Day 03: Full day game drive in Ishasha Sector

Breakfast; thereafter you’ll embark on a morning game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions that will take up most of the morning hours. Return to your lodge for lunch and thereafter you can enjoy a siesta before going on an evening game drive. Return to camp before dark for dinner & overnight by the river.

Day 04: Chimpanzee Tracking In Kyambura Gorge.

Your day today starts as early as 5:30 am for breakfast; thereafter depart your lodge at 06:00 am and embark on the drive to Kyambura Gorge. The plan is to get there on time for the 08:00 am scheduled Chimpanzee tracking briefing. You will then be joined by a UWA ranger guide who will accompany you on the exciting journey to find the chimps of the gorge. Return to base and then transfer to your lodge for lunch and check-in.

In the afternoon, your guide will transfer you through a short distance to the Mweya Peninsular where your afternoon boat excursion starts. This trip is exhilarating, bring a camera and pair of binoculars for viewing and photographing the animals and birds. Return to the mainland and drive back to your lodge for dinner & overnight at your lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 05: Fly or Drive back to Entebbe.

Breakfast; and today marks the end of your 05 Day Gorillas & Tree climbing Lions Holiday. With all your bags your guide will then transfer you back to Entebbe.
