While Gorilla Trekking In May might be characterised by rainny Days, A Uganda Safari in May is still a possibility… Consider doing Chimpanzee trekking or Visit Murchison Falls and explore the Nile.


The long rains that started in March and April continue into the month of May so this is still considered Not the best time to go on a Uganda Safari. However, if you’re not too worried about experiencing some rain during your trip it can be a lovely time to explore Uganda. The landscapes will be lush after months of rain which will create stunning backdrops for photography – a perfect compensation for the scarce wildlife sightings due to abundance in water & grazing land away from the proximity of the game tracks.


GORILLA TREKKING IN MAY – IS THIS POSSIBLE?


A trip into Bwindi Forest to trek Gorillas in May might just not be fun if you are Not a fun of getting soaked in rain. In May due to the rains, the ground is often wet, muddy and slippery making it a lot more challenging to navigate, however, Low season Gorilla permits will be readily available making this the perfect time for travelers on a tight budget.


WHERE THEN CAN I GO ON A UGANDA SAFARI IN MAY?


Kibale Forest National Park might be on the list of alternative places to visit on a Uganda Safari in May. In this park, you can indulge in the traditional 01-hour chimpanzee Tracking experience or rather opt for the exclusive small group Chimpanzee habituation which allows you a whole day with the wild group of Chimpanzees.

Murchison Falls National Park is still a good place to visit in May. In this park, you can go on game drives, boat safari to the Falls, and also trek chimps in Budongo Forest  – All this is cheaper to do in the low season months fo March, April & May.
