April is Low season in Uganda, Lodges offer discounted Rates, Safari companies are willing to offer competitive prices
A Uganda Safari in April is typically characterized by heavy rainfall with daytime temperatures of around 28°C/82°F and morning temperatures of around 16°C/61°F. It will be colder in the gorilla parks at high altitudes and warmer in the north. The rain can make travel more difficult since the dirt roads and forest trails used for gorilla tracking and safari game drives can become challenging to navigate.
While it’s fine to use alternative 4×4 mini Vans for a safari in Uganda, we recommend using a superior 4×4 Toyota Landcruiser for Safaris in April.
