In Uganda, the mountain gorilla Habituation experience is currently done in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Gorilla Habituation Experience in Bwindi Forest is a Full-day experience that involves starting out as early as 06:30 am. Upon find the gorillas, you will be allowed four (04) hours with a group of Wild Mountain gorillas still undergoing the traditional human familiarization process called habituation.
Only four (04) tourists and a team of UWA officials ( rangers, researchers and veterinarians) take part in gorilla habituation – making this a small group and more affectionate experience with the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Forest National Park.
The Price of Gorilla Habituation permits in Uganda varies based on residence status as indicated below;
- Non Residents (Non- nationals) – USD1,500 per person
- Residents (Expats)USD1,000 per person
- East Africans ( Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi) – UGX750,000 per person
