Leopard Filming in East Africa

Leopard Filming in East Africa

Leopard filming in East Africa can be done in quite a number of locations all spread out through four (04) prime Destinations that we like to recommend to our clients. These locations are in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda.

Despite the fact that African leopard populations across East Africa are a lot larger than the African Rhinos but they are very secretive and quite difficult to spot. If your intention is to Film leopards, then the planning bit has to be done very well so as to increase your chances of successfully shooting (with a camera – not gun) these amazing creatures. It’s at this point that Realm Africa Safaris™ becomes your best film fixer for leopard filming in East Africa.

Best time to go Filming Leopards

East African destinations; Uganda. Kenya, Tanzania & Rwanda share a similar weather/climate pattern. The months of June to August and December to February are the dry months and this is the time most people travel to East Africa. The months of March, April and May are the wet months characterised with high amounts of rainfall.

Top tip – Thank us later: Although filming might be a lot interesting in the drier months of June to August and December to February, the temperatures might not be so friendly especially to your equipment. The equipment might heat-up and not work again. It’s therefore important to try and plan well.

Our best tip to this is sourcing the equipment locally to minimise the risks and costs involved in bringing your own Kit. Realm Africa Safaris™ works with quite a number of reliable film kit rental businesses in East Africa.
