Why do we like staying at the Karamoja Overland Camp?
- Private setting: Remember, there are only six units for accommodation available. For us, this is the kind of place we like to sleep our clients.
- Great food: This is something we never want to compromise on during every trip we organise.
- Friendly Staff: We like to stay at places that keep us feeling welcome.
- Location: The camp is located inside the Game reserve, meaning you are only an eyesight from the unfolding of the wilderness.
When is the best time to stay at the Karamoja Overland Camp?
The best time to stay at the Karamoja Overland Camp if planning to explore Pian Upe Game Reserve is during the dry season, specifically January to March and November to December. During these months, the vegetation is less dense, making it easier to spot wildlife, and animals tend to congregate around water sources like the Girik River, making for excellent game viewing opportunities.
Although the reserve is open year-round, the dry season generally provides the best conditions for game drives and guided nature walks, as trails are generally drier.
