Kanyio Pabidi Eco-tourism site is located 29kms from Masindi town and just 8 kms from the main Kichumbanyobo murchison fall Entry Gate. Kanyio Pabidi Eco-tourism site is popular (though not as Kibale Forest National park) for its population Of habituated chimpanzees. Besides the spectacular Kanyio Pabidi chimp trekking Experience, the forest is also a habitat for many other primates like; blue monkey, red-tailed monkey, baboons and vervet monkey not forgetting Black and white colobus monkey, butterflies and above all its considered one of Uganda’s top bird watching spots with recorded sightings of; Puvel’s Illadopsis and  and the Yellow footed fly Catcher – both Albertine rift endemics that only occur here in the whole of East Africa.

Kanyio Pabidi Eco-tourism site is also known for it’s  impressive tree species including the Celtic family Species, mahogany and abundance of wild tropical flower blooming in the Forest of Budongo.
