Membership:
Always check, and also double check that the tour operator you are dealing with is a member of a state legal Tour Operators Association. Realm Africa Safaris™ is a Full Member of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators. Don’t just take our word – check this out and feel free to directly contact the association through their website.
Gorilla Permits:
While many tour operators will try to woo you with “irresistible” gorilla safari prices on their websites using a phrase like “Budget Gorilla Safaris from as low as USD400 per person” please note that this usually excludes Gorilla permits which they will charge an EXTRA fee – one way of confusing you with the Gorilla safari costs, and in the End you will finish off paying a lot more money for what to seemed to be a cheap Gorilla safari in the beginning.
Realm Africa Safaris™ operates all-inclusive Gorilla Safaris whose price includes Gorilla Permits for the country in which you are trekking Gorillas.
Accommodation:
Be careful with the persuasively cheap tour operators as they will often book you into rundown lodges, with poor service, and usually far away from the site(s) you are visiting.
At Realm Africa Safaris™, all accommodation utilized on all our Gorilla safaris, and adventure tours in Africa is selected by our team of well-traveled safari consultants (of course after visiting the property) whose consideration is well placed on; clients safety, quality of meals served, service and general hygiene at the accommodation, and proximity to the sites you are visiting. We provide direct links to individual accommodation websites – this allows you to do your own research and also get to know exactly what to expect whilst you stay at the mentioned lodge.
Meals: Often travelers have fallen victim to tour operators that mention a persuasive Gorilla safari price of USD400 per person and don’t mention that Meals are excluded – it is what we at Realm Africa Safaris™ “Small Print fraud”. All our Gorilla Safaris include meals both Enroute and at the Lodge for the entire trip.

Transport, Driver & Fuel: While other tour operators will simply mention ” Transport Included”,and later when the trip starts they come up with EXTRA costs for Fuel, Driver guide allowances, blah blah!, At Realm Africa Safaris™ we are keen to specify that you will be driving in a 4×4 Mini Van or Landcruiser ( pictures Included on our website) driven by a local safari English Speaking guide who is familiar to the traffic and terrain of the country in which you are trekking gorillas, and all fuel cost for your safari are included.
