A hot-air balloon safari means an early rise for you and getting to the meeting point at 5:30 am where you will be greeted by crew with coffee, tea and other refreshment as you see the balloon assembled and meet your certified pilot (at least 1000 hours – flying time). You will receive a safety orientation before lift-off for your hot air balloon safari.
Sunrises in Queen Elizabeth Park are at just after 6 am and you will see it in all of its glory as you rise above the Queen Elizabeth Park Savannah with Elephant Herds below you, Lions returning from their nocturnal hunt, Hippos coming back to the lake or Kazinga Channel after grazing all night. Each Hot Air Balloon is a journey of Discovery that you will delight in.
Presently the Hot Air Balloon Safari Queen Elizabeth National Park can accommodate up to 16 passengers with an extra one to be added for up to 24 passengers – the cost per passenger is US$380 and your flying safari is about 1 hour plus in length. At the end of the Hot Air Balloon Safari you will be met by the ground crew and celebrate your time over Queen Elizabeth Park with Sparkling Juice and a flying certificate.
