In Uganda, gorilla Permits for East Africans (Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Burundi) cost Uganda Shillings – UGX250,000 ($71/GBP52/ Euros61/AUD91) per person per trek. However, proof of citizenship will be required at the time of booking your gorilla Permit(s).

When is the best time to Trek Gorillas?
Generally speaking, Both Rwanda and Uganda share similar weather patterns so the best time to trek Gorillas in either or both is during its two dry seasons: between December and February, and between June and August when conditions are particularly good for trekking to see mountain gorillas in Bwindi, Mgahinga or Volcanoes National Parks in Uganda and Rwanda. Game viewing Safaris in national parks are also good at this time, as well as between February and March.
