For instance, we have accessible Gorilla tours for seniors with limited mobility and or any dietary needs.
Our Gorilla Safaris for Seniors – over the age of 50 years are often private and on a few occasions small group (of course, with the people you know or the group you have personally built and decided to travel with). The private or Small group holidays allow for our senior travellers to enjoy an exclusive private tailor-made gorilla trekking experience without having to dance to the tune of youngsters. Both our driver guides and the Uganda Wildlife Authority park rangers and guides that lead you on this sort of tour perfectly understand that they need to slow it down – the target is seeing the gorillas without inflicting so much stress on both your mind and body – we know you are a senior!
Gorilla Safaris for seniors that suffer mobility challenges or are differently-abled (disabled) and therefore can’t walk, we do recommend the use of a sedan chair. The sedan chair does cost a fair amount of money…we agree, but when you choose to pay the price, be sure you’ll get to see the mountain gorillas.
A Special note about the sedan chair: Much as both Uganda and Rwanda do provide sedan chairs (at an EXTRA charge of course), they are subject to availability at that time of your booking. We, therefore, recommend that you let us know at least 03 – 06 months in advance so that we can pre-book your gorilla trekking sedan chair.
