Flights to Bwindi Forest National park can either land at Kihihi (± 40km/25mi to Bwindi Forest) or Kisoro Airstrips (± 36km/22mi to Bwindi Forest). Kihihi is closer to Buhoma & Ruhija Gorilla trekking regions of the Great Bwindi Forest, and Kisoro is closer to Rushaga and Nkuringo gorilla trekking regions.
If trekking gorillas in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, one has to fly into Kisoro Airstrip and drive 4ominutes through a distance of only 15km/09mi.
