The domestic flights to Bwindi are operated by two major players; Aero link Uganda and the newly established BAR Aviation. both companies operate daily flights from Entebbe to Bwindi either landing at Kisoro (southern Bwindi) or at Kihihi (Northern Bwindi). Kisoro airport connects the southern most sectors of Rushaga and Nkuringo region, while Kihihi connects easily to Buhoma and ruhija sectors.

Baggage Policy
Most of the domestic scheduled or charter flights to Bwindi are operated with small sized 08 seater Grand Cessna caravans which have much smaller luggage storage than most of typical international airlines. Therefore, you must adhere to the rules and regulations regarding flight baggage limitations as indicated below.
- On all services, the maximum luggage weight is 15kgs /33lbs in soft sided bags.
- As a guideline, standard checked luggage should have the three dimensions of 24 inches (60cm) height, by 18 inches (45cm) length and 13 inches (33cm) width.
- For hand luggage, 12 inches (30cm) height, by 21 inches (53cm) length, by 9 inches (23cm) width.
- Personal items like handbags, small umbrellas, walking sticks, coats, small backpack can be stored under the seat in front of the passenger or in an overhead bin where applicable. These items must not exceed 5 Kgs/ 11lbs and are part of the baggage allowance of 15kgs/ 33lbs.
- On Scheduled flights, to accommodate additional luggage, please book and pay for an additional freight seat in advance. The extra seat will allow for an additional 75kgs/165lbs excess luggage.
- If you wish to carry additional luggage on space availability, the prevailing rate of $3 will apply per kilo for local flights and $4 for Kisumu, Masai Mara flights. This may not be an available option on the date of departure.

Payments:
The Client will pay by cash, Credit Card o r company cheque 14 days prior to travel date for all tickets with Bar Aviation Limited Uganda Limited. TICKETING TIME LIMIT IS THEREFORE 14 DAYS BEFORE DAY OF TRAVEL FOR ALL FLIGHTS.
Cancellation & NO show policy:
- Above 10 days before date of travel: $ 20 fee per ticket if tickets have been issued.
- Between 9 to 5 days before date of travel: $ 50 fee per ticket.
- Within 4 days to date of travel and NO-SHOWS: No refund.
- No-show tickets can be re-used on stand-by basis, up to validity of ticket, with a $20 amendment fee.
Amendment Policy:
- Above 10 days before date of travel: Nil charge if ticket is not issued.
- Above 10 days before date of travel: $20 fee if ticket has been issued.
- Within 9 to 5 days to date of travel: $50 fee per change on firm basis OR $20 fee per change on standby basis.
- Within 4 days to date of travel: $100 fee per change on firm basis OR $20 fee per change on standby basis.
Tickets are not transferable. Tickets are valid for six months.
Refunds/Credit Notes:
In all cases, refunds will be paid within 30 days from the date of cancellation.
Penalties:
Penalties are payable IN CASH before date of travel.
Check-In time:
- Check-in is 1hour 30 mins before departure.
- Check-in is 30 mins before departure for all flights from outstations.
Freight & excess Luggage:
- Charged at USD 3 per kilo subject to space availability.
Infants & children:
Infants under 2 years of age are carried free provided they do not occupy a seat. Children under 12 years of age are carried at 70% except for internal flights.
