Lake Mburo National Park is the Closet National park to Kampala (4-hours), Entebbe (5 -6 hours) and Jinja (6-7 hours). Lake Mburo National park is popular with weekend gateways for people living – working within the cities of Kampala, Jinja and Entebbe.

Rwonyo Rest Camp is owned and operated by Uganda Wildlife Authority – UWA and offers pocket – friendly basic – safari camp – accommodation inside Lake Mburo National park.
Accommodation at Rwonyo Rest Camp is basic and one needs to plan for meals at the Lakeside Restaurant – budget at least UGX15,000 per meal (you will need a car to drive back and forth – take No risk this is a national park – wild animals move about freely) or perhaps if you have some extra cash, you may consider dining at the Lake Mburo Arcadia Resturant – remember to pre-order you meals.
