However, the major difference in chimpanzee tracking and habituation is the time you’ll spend around the chimpanzees. With the standard/normal treks, you are allowed a maximum of 01-hours of viewing time whereas, for habituation, you will enjoy up to 04-hours of viewing. Secondly, unlike the standard trek, persons on the habituation experience will enjoy a less crowded experience – only 06 individuals are allowed to participate Vs the 08 that are allowed on the standard trek.

The dry season months of June – September, and December – February come off as the most preferred/best time to consider going chimpanzee tracking or trekking in Kibale Forest National Park. This is because the roads, and trails drier and less challenging to navigate. are These get extremely muddy and slippery during the rainy season months of March – May, and October – November.
