AMAANYI EMPOWERMENT CENTRE: The best Special Needs School in Entebbe for persons with intellectual disabilities.
Founded by EmbraceKulture, Amaanyi Empowerment Centre is a post-primary school, the first of its kind in Uganda – a school for children (13 – 30years of age) living with intellectual disabilities. With its main focus being children living with Autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down syndrome and hydrocephalus.
Amaanyi Empowerment Centre is currently training and equipping the children with vocational skills in bakery, urban horticulture, Laundry as a business, Arts & Crafts as a means of enabling them to become entrepreneurs within their communities. There is a plan to introduce other training programs.
