Situated north of Tanzania near Lake Eyasi, southwest of the Ngorongoro hills, Tindiga Tented Camp is a fairly priced property ideal for travelers seeking to explore the surroundings of Lake Eyasi. The Camp camp is a perfect place to dig deep into the culture of the nomadic Hadza and Datoga tribes, who still live a very conservative but yet culturally rich lifestyle.
Tindiga tented camp is a modest but comfortable camp, offering ten (10) tented rooms each with en-suite bathrooms, a communal bar/lounge, and a restaurant that was built by Datoga women. Visit the Hadzabe, the last known people to live by hunting and gathering, to improve your bow-and-arrow skills.
The small number of guest tents, only ten, means that you enjoy personalized service, both at the camp and during your Tanzania cultural safari. With the alkaline Lake Eyasi close to the camp, you are only a short walk from a breathtaking and unique setting of short savanna grass and forests where you may see hippo, monkey, and other mammals, as well as birds such as flamingo, stork, pelican and many more.
