Gorilla Trekking Fees in Uganda vary depending on what gorilla product you are taking part in. Unlike other Gorilla trekking destinations Rwanda & DR Congo, Uganda has two (02) products; Gorilla Trekking and Gorilla Habituation.
Gorilla trekking fees In Uganda
Gorilla trekking In Uganda involves trekkers hiking for hours (1-4hours) through the tangled forests of Bwindi forest National park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Up to eight (08) tourists are allowed to join in a group to trek for Mountain Gorillas. All eight (08) must have acquired Gorilla trekking permits in order to take part in Gorilla trekking. While trekking to where the gorillas are might last a couple of hours, trekkers are only allowed one (01) viewing and photographing the group of habituated mountain gorillas.

Gorilla Habituation fees
The Gorilla Habituation experience, unlike gorilla trekking, is currently only done in Rushaga Sector of the larger Bwindi Forest National Park is a full-day experience that involves an early (06:00 am) start. Gorilla habituation allows trekkers to spend up to four (04) hours viewing and photographing a wild gorilla group (still undergoing habituation).
Only four (04) tourists and a team of UWA officials ( rangers, researchers and veterinarians) take part in gorilla habituation – making this a small group and more affectionate experience with the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Forest National Park.
