You will take on the unique Lion Tracking Experience giving you an insight into the plight of the Carnivores in Uganda, a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel, and two nights in the Remotest sector of Queen Elizabeth NP (Ishasha Sector) famed for its amazing wildlife sightings climaxed by the Tree climbing lions that adorn this safari park.

05 Days Uganda Luxury Camping Safari (itinerary)
DAY 01: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Forest NP.
A representative of Realm Africa Safaris™ will pick you up from your Hotel in Entebbe ( see: Where to stay in Entebbe), and transfer you to Entebbe International airport on time for your local domestic flight to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival you will be transferred by vehicle to your private luxury camp in Queen Elizabeth National where you will check-in and also enjoy a homely privately made meal.
In the afternoon, your guide will take you On a scenic drive that descends to the picturesque Mweya Jetty where your first experience – a 2-hour slow-moving boat safari on the famous Kazinga channel begins. (See: What to expect while On a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel).
Journey time:
- ±2 hours flight from Entebbe International Airport.
- ±1 hour transfer to your private Luxury Camp.
- ±1 hour transfer to your private Luxury Camp.
Day 02: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Lion Tracking experience
This morning your private chef will compliment your previous nights homely dinner with yet another tasty breakfast serving after which your guide will be waiting to take you on a Lion Tracking Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Your will be accompanied by a Carnivores expert from the Uganda canivore Programe who using a radio collar tracker will track, find and explain about these large cats, and also give you an Insight into the plight of these cats and why they are monitored using radio collars.
** choosing to do the lion tracking does help put a little more funding to the cause – Conserving the Carnivore’s.
While on the game drive, you will have chance to spot lots of wildlife including the Uganda kob, African Elephant, buffalo, Water bucks, and lots of colorful birds that soar the African sky. Return to your camp for Lunch.
In the afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the ambience of your private camp – keep your camera close – there is wildlife that comes around the lodge. Alternatively, you can opt to go on an afternoon safari drive.
Day 03: Track chimps in the gorge and Transfer to the remote – Ishasha Sector
This morning you will rise early, have breakfast and then transfer to Kyambura gorge for your chimpanzee tracking experience. While the chimpanzee here are so elusive and have mastered the art of hiding from humans – meaning you have a 50/50 chance of sights, the walk in the gorge might be one of the best safari walks – worth trying. Lunch and thereafter transfer to Ishasha sector of the larger Queen Elizabeth National Park – famous for the tree climbing lions. Check-in and dinner at the glamourous – Ishasha Wilderness Camp overlooking the river Ntungwe.
Day 04: Explore Ishasha sector
The entire day is set around exploring this remote part of the larger Queen Elizabeth National Park. Although populary known for tree climbing lions, this park has alot more of Wildlife offering ranging from Large herds of Buffalos, Kobs, topi, Waterbucks, and only a Lucky day you might catch amazing sighting of the elusive Leopards, hyenas, and the much smaller serval cats among others.
Day 05: Transfer to Kihihi Airport – Fly back to Entebbe.
This morning will mark the last day of your Safari unless you choose to add-on some extra days onto your Itinerary (See: Suggested Add-on’s)
After breakfast, you will be required to check-out with all your belongings, and your guide will transfer you to the near-by Kihihi Airport where you will board your flight to Entebbe for on-ward travel.

All our land cruisers come fully air-conditioned and with a cool box fully packed with complimentary en route drinks and snacks. The trucks all have large windows and an open roof that offers a 360° animal view allowing for photography while on safari.
We don’t publish fixed tour rates as our safari prices differ based on the number of persons traveling, and the type of accommodation – budget, mid-range to luxury.
