Detailed Itinerary (Day by Day)


Day 01: Transfer from Entebbe to Jinja City

Today you will officially setout on perhaps the most authentic mobile Camping Safari of a lifetime with your Realm Africa Safaris™ mobile tented Safari team including a private chef and an experience all-season safari guide to enhancing your 13 days Uganda camping Safari.

This journey will take you through Mabira Rain Forest to Jinja where you will camp overlooking the Source of the Nile.

Journey time: ±2-Hours from Entebbe.


Day 02: White water Rafting On the Mighty River Nile

Breakfast; thereafter your guide will transfer you to the Nile river Explorer rafting base camp in Jinja City where you will meet your river guides. After your briefing, you will then drive to the remote village and participate in getting your rafts onto the Nile. Enjoy a full-day on Africa’s longest river – Nile. On return to the Nile River Base camp, you will be reunited with your Realm Africa Safaris™ guide who will transfer you back to the camp overlooking the River Nile.


Day 03: Transfer to Sipi Falls

After breakfast, you will pack up all your personal belongings and embark on a ±3 hour drive to Sipi falls where we will stay for the next two (02) nights at a private camp with amazing views of both the scenery and the falls. Enjoy a sundowner – and remember to keep your camera close enough as this might be one of the best spots to capture some amazing photos & videos of the African sunset (*subject to prevailing weather).


Day 04:  Hike to the Falls

Breakfast; thereafter you will be joined a local guide who will take you on an exciting and educational hike through the villages – the perfect chance to get to see the life of the locals. This walk will take up most of the morning and we will see you back at camp for a sumptuous lunch freshly prepared from local foods using the craft of our local chefs. After lunch, you may opt to indulge your self in the optional activities available including rock abseiling.


Day 05: Transfer to Pian Upe Game Reserve

This morning you will transfer to Pain Upe game reserve only ±2-hours drive away on a scenic route that meanders through small African villages. You will arrive in time for a bush lunch and thereafter enjoy the afternoon at leisure as you wait to venture out for an evening game drive. Return to your private Bush camping for a star Lit dinners under the African sky.


Day 06: Hike up the Nadepet cave (Napedet” is a Karimojong to mean “hole”)

This morning you will embark on a slightly challenging hike up into the Nadepet Cave return to your private bush camp for lunch and afternoon at leisure. *There are alternative activities to choose from if you don’t fancy hiking.


Day 07: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

This morning you will drive to Kidpeo National Park – perhaps the most remote safari Park in Uganda with amazing wildlife sightings, and cultural experiences. The drive to Kidepo will take you through the remote villages to the true African wilderness where we will set up a private camp and lunch will be served. You may relax for the afternoon, but be ready to venture out on an evening game drive. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.


Day 08: Guided walking Safari

This morning, you will be joined by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide who will lead you on a unique experience – the African wilderness walking safari amidst the wildlife that roams this beautiful safari park. Return to camp for lunch and thereafter relax in the afternoon. In the evening, we will again venture in a game drive starting and ending at your private camp where you will find a lovely dining set for You by our Realm Africa Safaris™ mobile tented Safari team.


Day 09: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park.

After breakfast, you will embark on an exit drive out of Kidepo Valley National Park and head to Murchison Falls National Park for the next 02 nights. Here you will camp at a spot overlooking the Nile.

In the evening you will go on an evening game drive and return to camp for dinner and overnight.


Day 10: Morning game drive, afternoon boat safari & hike to the top of the Murchison falls

Breakfast; thereafter embark on a morning game drive through the savannah plains of Murchison falls national park – Uganda’ largest safari Park and home to a wide range of wildlife including giraffe, elephants, lions and leopards – you might be lunch to see all the big 4 here ( * Rhinos went extinct in the 1980s’ but are bred at the zziwa Rhino Sanctuary – your last place to see on this 13 days Uganda camping Safari).

In the afternoon, you will go on a guided boat safari on the Nile. This trip takes you upstream and gets you up close and personal with the worlds most powerful waterfall – Murchison falls. Even better, you will get off the boat and hile up to the very top where you get to enjoy amazing views of the falls. Your realm Africa Safaris guide will meet you up and bring you back to camp in time for a bush dinner and overnight.


Day 11: Delt Trip

The delta trip is a very unique experience that many have mistaken to be “a birders” only trip. This trip, unlike the waterfall trip, takes you downstream to the delta area where your guide will scan (using his set of binoculars for the elusive shoebill stork – a Prehistoric bird that is nearly gone extinct and can now be seen at just a handful of location with Murchison falls known to be The best place to see the shoebill.

Return to camp for lunch, and thereafter head out of the park and stay overnight at the Boomu Village.


Day 12: Morning community walk 

This morning you will be served a local breakfast prepared by the boomu women and thereafter you will go on a Locally guided community walk. This work gives you an in-depth understanding of the way of life of the local people of this area. Return to camp and set off on a 02-hour drive to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will find a hot lunch served at your private camp. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. Dinner & overnight at the camp.


Day 13: Rhino Tracking, Transfer back to Entebbe

This morning you will be served breakfast, and thereafter you will be joined by a ranger guide who will take you on an on-foot Rhino tracking experience. This experience typically lasts about 2-hours after which you will return to camp for lunch. After lunch, we will set off for Entebbe arriving in the evening.

Tonight you will camp at a spot overlooking the Lake victoria – the worlds second Largest freshwater lake (after Lake Superior in North America). This is your final night with the crew – let’s have fun and take back memories. Thank you for choosing to book with Realm Africa Safaris™.
