Mwiba River Lodge

MWIBA RIVER LODGE

Mwiba River Lodge is an opulent permanent safari lodge nestled discreetly among gigantic boulders overlooking a rocky gorge of the Arugusinyai River on a private 12,000-acre wildlife reserve in the southern Serengeti area. Surrounded by coral and acacia trees, this fertile landscape has over 30 freshwater springs passing through it, making it a favorite locale for the elusive resident Mwiba leopards.

Built from a combination of rock art, wood, Canvas and thatch, Mwiba River Lodge has been designed to blend perfectly with the natural surrounds of the gorge.  The Exquisite Interior enhance the stunning views, the food and service are inspirational, and game drives, safari walks and special bush excursions for children consistently deliver fantastic wildlife encounters for families with children on safari.

During the Wildebeest Birthing / Calving season in the southern Serengeti – if visiting in January – February, you will have the chance to witness thousands of wildebeest being born amidst a large number of predators and raptors that strategically visit this area in an attempt to take advantage of the newly born.

The Wildebeest Birthing In Serengeti is an action-filled Tanzania photographic Safari experience not worth missing.

The Mwiba Wildlife Reserve has a number of natural springs that attract an abundance of plains game and predators alike, especially during the Wildebeest birthing/calving season in January – February.
