RWANDA GORILLA PERMIT PRICE INCREASED TO USD1500 

Rwanda Gorilla permit Price hiked to USD1500: The Rwanda Development Board today announced an increase in the price of Gorilla Permits from USD750 to USD1,500 for all visitors effective immediately. A new exclusive package for tourists who wish to book an entire family of gorillas was also introduced at USD15,000 and will receive exclusive personalized tour guide services. Uganda Gorilla Permits still remain at USD600 (peak season) or USD450 (low Season – April, May & November).


Rwanda gorilla permit price hiked to USD1500Effective now, Rwanda gorilla permit price has increased to USD1500 from USD750. This increment is double the previous Rwanda gorilla permit price of USD750. This move to Increase Rwanda Gorilla permits Fees by 100% has been commented about as aggressive – radicle policy implementation, something Rwanda is well known for.

Discounted – joint – visit offers have now been added to Tourists who visit other national parks (Nyungwe Forest and Akagera National Parks) for a minimum of three (03) days, in addition to gorilla trekking in Rwanda will receive a discount of 30%. Similarly, conference tourists, who stay pre or post conference dates for a Rwanda gorilla Safari will be eligible for a 15% discount.

However, in the midst of Rwanda gorilla permit prices rising from USD750 to USD1500, the Ugandan tour operators have acquired a big smile of Jubilation as more Uganda gorilla permits are expected to be sold out. Uganda gorilla permits cost USD600 in the peak season, or USD450 in the low season months of April, May & November.

Gorilla Safaris in Rwanda will Now become a lot more expensive than Uganda gorilla Safaris. During this period of shocking – 100% – Gorilla permit price increase from USD750 to USD1500, Uganda Gorilla Permits are expected to sell like “hot cake” since they only cost USD600 in peak Season or USD450 in Low Season – April, May & November. This, however, will make Uganda Gorilla permits a lot more scarce and they will be very difficult to book. We, therefore, recommend that you plan and book your Uganda Gorilla Safaris well in advance – at least 6 months In advance.
