Lake Nakuru Lodge

Referred to as the “jewel of Lake Nakuru National Park” the splendid Lake Nakuru Lodge offers 95 en-suite deluxe rooms varying in category from Family rooms to Cottages and Suites all situated inside Lake Nakuru National Park boasting unobstructed views of either the park gardens or the soda lake.

Lake Nakuru Lodge is a picturesque two-hour drive from Nairobi, and the route to the lodge passes through lake regions and forests into the heart of Lake Nakuru National Park. With magnificent views of The Great Rift Valley (the flamingo-drenched soda lake of Nakuru) and wildlife including rare and endangered species, this is the place to stay while on safari to National Park

Why we like staying at Lake Nakuru Lodge

  • The camp is located hardly 5 minutes drive from some of the wildlife Hot Spots including the the picturesque soda lake often filled with flamingos.
  • Because the lodge is tucked away in the true African wilderness of the remotest part of Lake Nakuru National Park, the sights & sounds are intriguing.
  • The tasty food prepared by a local chef with vast knowledge in blending the garden-fresh picks with the international cuisines makes for perhaps one of the tastiest meal servings in the middle of nowhere.
  • If you are transiting between Nairobi City and the Masai Mara, this is the perfect spot to break the journey by staying 01 or 02 nights at the Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Highlights for your stay:

Game drives around the park can be arranged with picnic lunches (at the hippo pools or Baharini Springs) as can ‘sundowner trips’. The resident naturalist can lead nature walks or bird-spotting tours in the immediate vicinity of the lodge – or in the park as a whole. Within easy (half an hour) reach of Nakuru town, with its many restaurants, bars and nightlife, the lodge serves as an excellent base for visits to the town and to the surrounding sights, such as Hyrax Hill Prehistoric Site, and the Menengai Crater. Gift shop, laundry, medical services and forex facilities provided. Horse-back riding can also be arranged.
