UGANDA GORILLA TREKKING PERMIT FEES


The latest Information regarding Gorilla Trekking permits in Uganda is the recent proposed increase of Gorilla Permit fees from USD600 to USD700 for 01-hour with the Gorillas – the change in Gorilla permit fees to USD700 will take effect on 01/July/2020.  However, even with this increase in Uganda Gorilla permit fees for tracking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest or Mgahinga Gorilla Parks, Uganda still remains the safest and yet affordable Gorilla Trekking destination In Africa. Rwanda Gorilla Permit fees currently stand at USD1,500 per permit to spend 01-hour with Mountain Gorillas in Parc Volcanoes.

Uganda Gorilla Trekking Permit fees for 2020 and beyond will now stand as follows;

Gorilla Trekking Permits in Uganda will cost USD700 for one to spend 01-hour with a group of Habituated Mountain Gorillas in either or both Bwindi Forest and Mgahinga Park(s).

Gorilla Habituation Permits in Uganda will remain at USD1,500 per permit for one to spend 4 -hours with a wild Group of Gorilla ( still undergoing Habituation).

RWANDA GORILLA TREKKING PERMIT FEES


Unlike Uganda that has just increased its Gorilla trekking permits to USD700, Rwanda Gorilla Trekking  Permits still remain at USD1,500 per person to spend 01-hour with the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park.


OUR ADVISE ON BOOKING GORILLA PERMITS:

Gorilla trekking Permits are on high demand especially for trekking mountain gorillas in the peak season. They will often get sold out six (06) months in advance. We, therefore, recommend travelers to plan and book their gorilla Safaris well in advance to avoid missing out on permits.
