The Giraffe Manor is a luxury boutique styled hotel in Kenya’s capital Nairobi.  Set on 12 acres of private land and tucked in an indigenous forest in the Langata suburb of Nairobi.  The Giraffe Manor has an extraordinary appeal to all its guests with some have been quoted saying “Walking into the Manor feels like walking into the film Out of Africa”. Indeed, one of its six suites is named after the author of Out of AfricaKaren Blixen.

The most fascinating thing about Giraffe Manor is not its beautiful location or rather elegant interior, it’s the herd of resident Rothschild giraffe that roam the property, and are  These beautiful creatures regular company to guests staying at the manor…. expect them at breakfast.

Giraffe Manor is an exclusive boutique hotel boasting of fine art deco features and four-poster beds. With 12 Fabulous rooms, each with a distinct personality (Named after the giraffe), as well as spacious bathrooms and elegant furnishings.

The Manor has a total of 12 rooms categorized into two sections:

The Manor Garden rooms:


This has six rooms: Salma, Edd, Arlene, Helen, Kelly and the Finch Hatton Suite. Each room enjoys views over the sanctuary and the giraffe experience offered to guests is the same regardless of which area of the house they are staying in -– our resident giraffes enjoy daily visits to both buildings in search of treats! The primary difference is that the Garden Manor was created to provide accommodation exclusively for guests of the Safari Collection’s portfolio of properties, so that the main house can be kept as accessible as possible to all.

The Manor House:


Often reffered to as “the original manor” the house was built in 1932 and has six (06) rooms: Betty, Daisy, Jock, Lynn, Marlon and the Karen Blixen Suite.


***Wifi, Meals & Drinks:  There is a wifi connection throughout. All guests enjoy full-board during their stay, which includes all meals and most drinks (house wines, spirits, beers and soft drinks), excluding champagne and specially imported wines and spirits.
