Lake Mburo National Park is a very beautiful park and we often advise that you start your journey as early as 6:00 am so that you get there and have ample time to take in the beauty of the small but naturally endowed park.

Distance & driving times from major cities across Uganda to Lake Mburo National Park;

  • 225km from Entebbe which takes approximately 4.5-hours by Car. We recommend taking the Express highway (toll charges may apply), and connecting onto Kyengera – Masaka Highway. The Best time is to start is as early as 6:00 am so as to get to Lake Mburo National Park early. This allows you time to enjoy the park and the lodge surrounding especially if staying at Mihingo Lodge – arguably the best safari lodge in Lake Mburo National Park.
  • 235km from Kampala a journey that usually lasts 4-hours. Depending on where in the city your start point is, this should not be a taxing journey especially if you depart early.
  • 314km from Jinja but requires that you plan at least 8-hours of driving. We recommend starting as early as 6:00 am, and also advise that you take the Kayunga route that connects you to the Northern by-pass to avoid losing so much time caught up in city traffic.
