Please treat all information here in as a guide – please take time to find out the prevailing visa terms or contact us for up-to-date information.

  • UGANDA:

Pay for your East African Visa upon arrival at the border, no (online) application in advance is required. The visa can be paid directly in cash. Uganda has to be your first entrance country into East Africa.

  • RWANDA:

Online via the Rwanda Immigration website. Similar to the application for the single entry visa but make sure to select the East African Tourist Visa instead of Rwandan visa.  US, UK, Canadians, those from Singapore and other countries used to enter without getting a visa, now there is a fee for them at the port of entry of US$30 …that is why the East African Visa is still your best choice since you save at least US$30 if you visit Rwanda and Uganda.

  • KENYA:

Kenya made some moves in regards to tourist visas – including the East African Tourist Visa that were rescinded by the president.  Below is the link to the Kenyan immigration site – where it states that application and information will be coming soon.  However it is best you apply in your country with the Kenyan Embassy if Kenya is your first destination in East Africa.  Most often that can be done on-line. Kenya East African Visa

  • TANZANIA:

Tanzania has been having holdouts when it comes to the East African Visa.  Tanzania now has a new President – John Magufuli who may change all of that, he is a quite practical, hands-on sort of President.
