Detailed Itinerary (Day by Day)

Day 01: Transfer from Entebbe to Kidepo Valley National Park

Breakfast; thereafter depart your hotel at 7:00 am and embark on the drive or you may opt to fly out of Entebbe International Airport to Kidepo Valley National Park. Lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge in the evening ontime for check in dinner and overnight.

Journey time:

• By road: ±9-Hours from Entebbe via – Gulu, Kitgum ending up in Kidepo NP (571km).
• By Flight: ±2-Hours from Entebbe International Airport.

Accommodation:

• Savannah Lodge (affordable option – from $165pp*sharing)
• Adere Safari Lodge (slightly expensive – from $250pp*sharing)

Meals Included: Lunch en route, & Dinner at the Lodge.

Day 02: Game drives in Kidepo Valley National Park

Breakfast; thereafter you will embark of a leisurely safari drive through the park searching for lions, leopards, buffalo, cheetah, ostrich and giraffe among others that roam the expanses of this magical safari park. Return to your lodge for lunch and a siesta.

Optional: You may choose to relax at your lodge or venture out into the Park for an afternoon game drive.

Day 03: Transfer from Kidepo Valley National Park to Murchison Falls National Park

Breakfast; thereafter transfer from Kidepo Valley National Park to Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda’s largest Safari park and home to large Elephant herds, Rothchild giraffe, lions and leopards among others. You will arrive on time for lunch and a siesta at your lodge. time permitting, you may opt to venture into the park on an evening mini-Safari or simply relax at your lodge.

• Murchison River Lodge (slightly expensive – from $115pp*sharing)

Day 04: Morning Game Drive inside Murchison Falls National Park

This morning you will venture into the Park on a search for wildlife. Murchison falls National Park is home to elephants, buffalo, giraffe, Waterbucks, Jackals, hyena, lions, Leopards and the rare Pangolin. The game drive in this park is really enjoyable! Return to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a unique safari on the Nile waters to the bottom of the falls, and enjoy a guided hike to the top of Murchison falls – rumoured to be the worlds most powerful falls. Return to your lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 05: Transfer Budongo Forest for Chimpanzee tracking

Your day today will start a lot earlier, as you have got to be at Budongo Forest by 8:00 am in time for the safety briefing on chimpanzee tracking. You will then head into the forest in the company of an experienced forest guide who will assist in the interpretation of the flora & fauna you will encounter in the forest. Return to the start point and proceed with the drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will stay overnight.

Day 06: Transfer from Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Kampala/Entebbe

Breakfast; and thereafter you will go on a walking safari to find the Rhinos of Uganda. Return to your lodge for checkout, and then embark on the drive to Entebbe/Kampala. Today marks the end of your 06 Days Kidepo and Murchison falls Safari with Realm Africa Safaris™.
