Uganda Visa Online – New Visa application system for travel to Uganda – Effective 31 July 2016.

Uganda Visa OnlineThe Government of Uganda has introduced the Uganda online visa application system with effect from 01 July 2016. All persons intending to come to Uganda for holiday, tourism, business, study, visit, or medications are required to apply and obtain a Uganda Visa online as opposed to the old on-arrival visa system.

Uganda Visa Online applications should be filled out at the following link: https://visas.immigration.go.ug/. A response to your Uganda online visa will be sent (by email) to your email address as provided in your application form.

All travelers who have successfully been granted a Uganda Online visa should remember to print it out and carry it with them while they travel to Uganda. You will be obliged to present your Uganda Visa print Out together with a valid passport/travel document at any port of entry into Uganda.

Types of Uganda Visa Online


  1. Multiple-Entry
  2. Diplomatic and Official
  3. Ordinary
  4. East Africa Tourist Visa (multiple entry valid for 90 days to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) .

Special Note:


A grace period valid for the month of July 2016 has been given to travelers to Uganda for which period travelers will still be able to get visas on arrival. However, the traveler will still have to go through the electronic application process (as above) at the port of entry. This grace period will only last the month of July 2016, after which all Uganda visa applications shall be online.

If you are visiting two or three of the East African Countries Of Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya, we recommend that you apply for the East African tourist Visa – US$100 valid for 90 Days.
