Uganda imposes mandatory yellow fever vaccination as a measure to control any further spread of yellow fever into Uganda. The Yellow fever laws are very strict and may cause you travel delays if you don’t adhere. take the yellow fever shot and please remember to carry the yellow fever vaccination card as proof at all times while you travel in Uganda.


Uganda imposes mandatory yellow fever vaccination

Ahead of the recent Yellow fever Outbreak in West Africa, Uganda has taken precaution on this deadly Yellow fever outbreak by Uganda imposing Mandatory Yellow Fever Vaccination for all travelers entering the country.

All travelers are advised to take a yellow fever shot 10 days prior to your travel into Uganda. Uganda Imposing mandatory yellow fever Vaccination does not mean that there is yellow fever in the country but rather the country is taking precaution against this scourge.

Every traveler must present a yellow fever Vaccination card to Airport Authorities or any other immigration Personnel at all entry points into Uganda – a Yellow fever Vaccination Card duly signed and stamped by the Medical Officer of Health.

Travelers that have not received a yellow Fever Vaccination or for some reason fail to provide proof for having taken the shot in their home country will be subject to receiving the vaccine at the Airport or whichever entry port into Uganda. The Health authorities at the Airport or border have the right to recommend that you be put in Quarantine.
