Kibale – Ndali – Kasenda Crater Lakes

Kibale – Ndali – Kasenda Crater Lakes

The Kibale – Ndali – Kasenda Crater Lakes were formed  in the ancient volcanic activity in Uganda not so long ago – between 8 – 10,000 years ago  – though this volcanic activity did leave behind a stretch of very scenic Kibale – Ndali – Kasenda Crater Lakes – this scenic beauty best witness as you drive from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National park or vice versus.

The Kibale – Ndali – Kasenda Crater Lakes are extinct however a few of them have volcanic gases  – rumoured to be just 10kilometers beneath – these lakes give off a sulphuric smell and are characterised by green toxic water – don’t just jump into any crater lake, find out first if it’s safe to swim there.
