As a young tourist destination we have learned from her neighbours; Rwanda, burundi and Congo – Not to overlook safety and Security in Uganda.


Safety and security in Uganda is generally good especially if visiting while booked on an orgainsed Uganda safari with us our any other tour operator. Most tourists that visit Uganda return safe & secure.

However, there have been several terrorist threats and attacks in the past. Unfortunately, terrorism has become a global concern and for this reason every government is doing its best to safeguard against it  and so is Uganda.

As with most or all third-world countries, petty theft and or pick-pocketing are relatively common, but most incidents are in cities, Kampala in particular. Indilging in un-guided walks alone around the city is not recommended especially in the big cities like Kampala.

An overnight stay at a reputable hotel in Uganda or an organized visit to one of the many attractions in or around the city is fairly risk-free.

Safety and security in Uganda for tourists ahs been beefed- up with the introduction of a new police force – Uganda Tourism Police that handles tourist related cases whilst also providing protection at tourist sites, hotels, lodges and even on your gorill trekking safari – they are there. Worry no more Uganda is safe to Visit.
